About us
We are an ideas based video production company
Video is one of the most powerful ways to inspire, educate, persuade and stir the emotions, but only if it is done correctly. Here’s some of things that are important to us.

Ideas
Everyone wants our attention, not many people get it, and even fewer capture our imagination. If you don’t get noticed what’s the point of saying anything?
The answer isn’t to get louder, use gimmicks, or even copy others. Can you imagine going to a party, hearing a funny joke, and then repeating it? No one will laugh because they know what’s coming. It’s the original and imaginative that forces us to look at the world in a new way. That’s why imaginative ideas underpin our work.

Storytelling
The human brain is wired to think in stories, it’s how we make sense of the world. When we ask someone how their day went, we are inviting them to tell us a story. Our identities are strongly shaped the stories we share.
Narrative also forges group identities. For instance, “freedom” is a major part of being English, Scottish and French. But each group uses different stories. The English have the Magna Carta, the Scots have William Wallace and the French have the storming of Bastille.
But the question of identify isn’t limited to nations, the success of the Beatles wasn’t just down to image and music, it was also the story of these fun loving lads from Liverpool. When you go to Body Shop, you buy in to the story of Anita Roddick and animal rights.
A well crafted story appeals to both our minds and our emotions. It’s what turns a film from a random collection of scenes to something meaningful.

Visual Impact
How the film looks is also important. Style, composition and design aren’t mere decoration, they are integral to the whole film. Done well, they will support the story. Done badly, and that is what people remember. We draw together the most appropriate animation and video styles to strengthen the story and concept.

Technology
Quirky Motion is not a technology company, but technology supports our traditional creative skills. But, of course, as technology develops, we can do more new and innovative things. That’s why we were using the strengths of YouTube and Podcasting in early 2006 before it was a twinkle in the eyes of most video production companies.
Now is the time for many companies to prepare for merger between TV and computers. Downloading content to your telly will become normal and internet video must be able to look good on a TV.
